It
is
gray
and
cold,a
perfect
day
for
a
snowstorm.
I
am
relaxed
and
thoughtless,
a
blessing
from
up
above,
not
to
be
reminded
of
the
war
going
on
within
my
body.
Quiet
solitude
abounds,
except
for
the
ocassionally
bark
of
the
dogs.
I
am
so
lucky
to
be
cradled
by
the
love
of
my
family,
but
think
of
those
who
aren't.
I
will
not
surrender
to
this
disease.
